Getting Started

Download Tajweed from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Open the app, choose your preferred language (French, English, or Arabic), and you're ready to start learning.

Start with the "Tajweed Tutorial" section in the Training tab. It introduces the 8 tajweed rules with color-coded examples. Then try practicing a short surah like Al-Fatiha.

No account is required. All your data is stored locally on your device. You can start practicing immediately after installation.

Practice Mode

Go to the Training tab, choose "Surah Practice", select a surah, and tap the microphone button. Record yourself reciting the displayed verse. The app will analyze your pitch and pronunciation.

After recording, you receive a grade (A, B, C, or D) based on pitch comparison with the reference reciter. A visualization shows your voice (blue) versus the reference (green) so you can see exactly where to improve.

After recording a verse, the app highlights each word with a color indicating how well you pronounced it. Tap any word to hear the reference pronunciation and retry.

Yes, you can choose from multiple recitation styles: Murattal (measured), Mujawwad (embellished), and Teaching (slow, didactic). Each style helps you practice different aspects of recitation.

Reading Mode

Open the Reading tab. You can browse by Surah (all 114), by Juz (30 parts), or by Hizb (60 sections). Use the search bar to quickly find a specific surah.

Colors indicate tajweed rules: green for Ghunna/Ikhfa/Iqlab, grey for Idgham, teal for Izhar, blue for Qalqalah/Tafkhim, and gold for Madd. These match the colors in the Tajweed Tutorial.

Tap the play button on any surah to hear the audio recitation. The text follows along word by word, highlighting the current word being recited. You can choose from multiple reciters.

Yes, add surahs to your favorites for quick access. The app also automatically remembers where you left off in each surah.

Tajweed Rules

The app covers: Ghunna (nasalization), Ikhfa (concealment), Idgham (assimilation), Iqlab (conversion), Izhar (clear pronunciation), Qalqalah (echo), Tafkhim (emphasis), and Madd (elongation).

Each rule has its own color and includes: a clear explanation, Arabic examples with the rule highlighted in color, and audio pronunciation. You can practice each rule individually with dedicated exercises.

Yes. From the Training tab, select "Tajweed Tutorial", then tap any rule to see examples. You can also use "Random Word" mode which presents words containing specific tajweed rules for targeted practice.

Statistics & Progress

Open the Stats tab to see your overall statistics: total verses practiced, average score, current day streak, and verses read. Weekly activity and score distribution charts give you a visual overview.

The streak counts consecutive days you have practiced. It appears on the home screen as motivation. Practice at least one verse each day to maintain your streak.

The app automatically schedules review sessions based on your performance. Surahs you struggle with appear more frequently, while mastered ones are spaced out. Due surahs appear on your home screen.

Settings & Customization

Go to the Settings tab and select your preferred language: French, English, or Arabic. The entire interface will switch instantly. Arabic mode enables right-to-left layout.

Yes, in Settings you can adjust the audio playback speed. Slowing down is helpful for beginners learning tajweed rules, while faster speeds challenge advanced students.

In Settings, set a daily verse goal (e.g., 10 verses/day). Enable notifications to receive daily reminders at your preferred time. The home screen shows your progress toward the daily goal.
